The cost of driving lessons varies across the UK. On the south coast, the average price for an hour-long lesson is around £36.00. If you're planning on making a living as a driving instructor, it's important to be cautious about how many hours you base your income on. Keep in mind that you'll need to factor in the time it takes to travel from one lesson to another. For instance, after teaching 35 hours of classes, you'll spend roughly 40 hours in the car.
